It may be the case that it was only the 16v models were equipped as standard with Jaquard satin sport seats, 3 spoke sports steering wheel, aux guages, front fog lamps etc. These parts were probably offered as optional extras for the ABK engined model.
Little project Audi 80 Sport....

It certainly appears to me that the Sport on a B3 came with all the extras, the late B4 did not. I have the printed docs to show this is indeed a Sport, however , if the windows aren't standard they look very well done, the switches looms regs etc look spot onComment

Listed as Ruby Red pearl.
I waa given these magazine/ dealer brochure too. The brochure is from Harrogate Audi, the original vendors..
I'm confused about this then, Log Book says sport, dealers says Sport, PR codes suggest Sport, engine code is correct for 8v Sport....

Weird to that it lists "sport" on the log book.
either way it's a very nice car, I'll be doing some tinkering.
The horrid JVC stereo has gone in the bin already, my brother has a nice Kenwood Stereo and an even nicer Sony one I have acquired.Comment

I agree, it does confuse things.
It's a still a good looking car after all these years later. It's always good to see one on the road, which is a rare sight these days. The last time I saw one I'd forgotten how good they look. I quite fancy one again to tinker on.
I look forward to reading your posts with your progress.

I bought and sold a ruby red 16v a few years ago. That had been lowered on H&R springs, this one is a similar ride height and firmness.
I've driven a few standard 80s and the suspension is rather soft.
This a good solid car and well worth the few tweaks required to make it a great car.Comment

I like Audi 80s, well built cars. I loved driving this one back from Lincolnshire 70/80 mph most of the way. They don't drive like 30 plus year old cars etc.Comment
