Yes John. We picked it up for five-grand on fireworks night 1995.

The Escort Mk2 RS2000 on the first page with a 2.1 pinto for £2300…. What would that be worth today?

Back then it could well have been rotten at 15 years(!!?) old but the price would suggest not? I had a similar spec'd X-pack Escort in '95, oh to have it now !!

Then there's the newer (than yours) XR4x4 at less than half the asking price of the Quattro .

It is funny how some stuff is pure gold now, Manta and Capri make strong money, but things like the Corrado, Scirocco, etc. haven’t faired so well.

Yeah, like you, I’m still in debt to it…. Even at top dollar today. Financially.
