My 50th Birthday!

Well 50 today!! I always thought when people said they were in their 50s I thought that’s pretty old but now it’s just a number lol!! I’ve had the S2 for 23 years and it’s still going no where, total body refurb 3 years ago (ish) and a month ago new headlining and alloys refurbed. Been celebrating all week and more celebrations in the next few days.

I'm 71 in August, still driving the Coupe and never been fitter haha

Just had an excellent day out took the S2 to Harrogate then drove to Skipton the Settle back via M6 over Penrith and Alston! 225 miles in total in the heat and air con worked no probs and didnt miss a beat and plenty of admirers to which is always nice

Happy Birthday! I was 50 in April too and still have my S2 as well as a couple of other toys. Yours is looking stunning - congratulations, maintaining an S2 in this day and age is no mean feat!

There’s a theme here, isn’t there? I’m 55 this year, had the S2 21-years. I bet 90% of the decent S2’s have been squirrelled away by us lot.

63 here and had mine for 23 yrs. I think you have to be a certain age to appreciate the build quality, also that age to have the patience, determination and general pig headedness to not let the car beat you!

A definite pattern appearing on here lol!! Thanks for the kind words guys means a lot. I love maintaining my S2 sometimes a battle but latest bits like the alloys getting sorted and the headlining being replaced and looks original is class. No more sagging and flapping around when the window is open!!

Once I get my bits done to my house am treating myself to a RS5 B8.5 hopefully a 2015 model last of the 4.2s so will be proper old school versus new school!!
