I had my 3bS2 in for a Mot today, I hadn’t used the car for 18 months as life has been mega. Although I do keep her in the garage on a trickle charge under a dust cover. I start her regular and check things, including the diff lock.
Today I noticed the lock wasn’t engaging, I tested it on the ramp and the actuator works. I assumed one of the vac lines from the inlet mani had split. On arrival home I noticed the line that goes through the bulk head on the drivers side had broke. The hard plastic line had hardened and disintegrated. So I guess I’ve found my vac leak..
my question is the one that disappears through the bulk head on the drivers side , what route does it take? As we know the room down between the engine and bulk head is limited. The issue is what’s left of the hard line is now lay on top of the engine.
Sods law she just scrapped the mot on emissions, which was odd as she always flies through. I know have what feels
like a slight misfire, I think I’ve traced that to
a failed HT on lead 1.
