Emergency!! New Alternator fast!!! Nurburgring trip on Thurs!! Can anyone help?

Hey guys,

My alternator is suddenly sounding horrific, I think its the bearings. I live in Guildford area in Surrey. Does anyone know where I can find a Bosch alternator for my ABY audi s2 please? and fast!!!

I need to fit it to my car before I go away to the Nurburgring road trip.

Hey Chaps!! Yes I made it to the ring on time!!! a specialist repaired the seized bearing on my alternator, but other parts need replacing in future like the rotor.
I took the car on the ring, boiled my brakes and now have loss of boost, im suspecting its my waste gate. as was at 5k rpm and heard a pssst sound ... then lost boost. but no boost leaks ...

Could this be wastegate or dump valve? I read that If the wastegate is stuck open it wont build boost pressure, so I drove it back home , driving out of boost range.

Glad you made it. If you heard a psst it's probably a leak somewhere. WG sticking open is very rare. Check the boost /vac line connection to the ECU and boost gauge if you have one fitted.

Hey dude! Thankyou so much!! will get onto it. Im guessing I can check the boost pressure via the ecu - if i laptop into the ecu using my emerald ECU software.. Will check that.. it could be the pipe came off, but they checked with a smoke machine in the garage and I have no boost leaks visible.
