Poll: Is your S2 your daily driver?

Just curious. My S2 will be when I get it but may also commute on my motorbike on nice days.

Don't need to commute to work, but for popping to the shops and up and down to Glasgow to see my GF, I use a bora tdi. The A9 is a pretty boring road, usually filled with idiots, so I think that the S2 would be wasted trundling up and down it. When I need to go from Inverness to the north west, it's an easy choice though, with all of the single track and perfect driving roads (and no speed cameras).

i used to use mine for a 110mile daily commute on the M3 and M25....wasted over 30,000 miles trudging at a sub 40mph up and down to heathrow/Stockley Park in the S2. I sooo wish i hadn't been such a stubbon git and bought a shed, it would have saved me a fortune!!!!

Now have another car to do that kind of commute, rest of the time i work from home

                  In pieces.

I was told how to tell if it's a Coupé Quattro or an S2 Coupé...

                  ...the S2 is on axlestands.

A bit of truth in that after all...I've had mine since october and not driven it very far.
                  S2 sold.

I used to use my coupe and then avant as daily drivers. Then got an everyday driver.

You wont believe the difference in petrol bills for doing that.

I was dubious about doing it but now wouldn't have it any other way

Diesel focus/astra/mondeo (whatever work has on offer) for me to do my 110mile per day round trip to work. The S2 lives in the garage and is only used to do a few jaunts into Cornwall with mates or a comfy drive back to Birmingham.

I should use my clio as my daily driver, it tends to just sit on the drive since my s2 purchase though.

Try going from a German performance car with leather recaro's to a French run-around, feels like riding a unicycle!

My S2 is the daily driver AND is in bits.. oh, and the consumptions is something one would not think about.

I've been tinkering about getting a golf mk1 as a daily though. Seems like most people here have ans s2 for fun car, and a golf for daily use.
