You all need the extra space to carry your pension books and caravan club memberships.
Coupe owners on the other hand have got years till we get to that stage so spend the time working on the car (able to get under as our legs/hips are still in good condition) driving it fast (able to see ahead as our eyesights not gone yet) and able to pick up women (as they don't think you want to start a family straight away and want to have some fun or think your moonlighting as an undertaker)
Coupe's all the way

Avant's All the way!!
Who cares if it a coffin carrier!? Everybody lets you out of junctions, you never get cut up, free parking outside churches
and there's space for an extra passenger!!!
Plus since the introduction of the S2/RS2 Avant Audi decided (correctly!!!) that the coupe style was a bit outdated and should be left in the late 80's and early 90's with all the Yuppie's and chav's that were still driving them
And instead concentrate making all of their fastest cars in Avant/Sedan form which have always been the coolest options
1995 S2 Avant
Homefries,
RS2 intercooler,
996 monoblocks,
Koni adjustable shocks,
H&R springs,
18" RS6 reps in anthracite.
