It looks like the corpse escaped when it knew it was being put in the back of the Avant.
It must've been a Coupé owner when it was alive.

Even though large tracts of Europe and many old and famous faces have fallen or may fall into the grip of the Gestapo oweners and all the odious apparatus of Coupe rule, we shall not flag or fail.

We shall go on to the end, we shall fight at the 'ring, we shall fight on the a-roads and motorways, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength on the track, we shall defend our honour, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the quarter miles, we shall fight on the landing strips, we shall fight on the rolling roads and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender, and even if, which I do not for a moment believe, this Island or a large part of it were subjugated and starving, then our brothers beyond the seas, armed and guarded by the Avant Fleet, would carry on the struggle, until, in God's good time, the New World, with all its power and might, steps forth to the rescue and the liberation of the old.

Bring it on coupe kids we're reading and waiting....

I have a Avant s2 and think that the ABY engine suits really well a big comfy car, better than a sports coupe, I think a sports coupe should have an engine that rises in power as the revs rise and the torque of the ABY makes it feel the same all trough the rev range, of course I know we can make a few mods and get there but I mean standart engines.
I also have a coupe quattro 20v and I love its shape more than the avant, though its engine is a screamer as you all know and is like oil to water in relation to the ABY, no torque down low and all power in the upper rev, much more suited to a sports coupe although I would love to have a little more rounded engine because it gets a bit tiring to rev it hard all the time.
The better car would be, for me, a coupe with an engine like the 911, which I also have one, very strong in all revs and a top end to die for.

Finally the car that I like better is the coupe because there are a lot of 80 Avant here in Portugal especialy diesel and there are only about 10 coupes, so the coupe is a rare shape around here and that makes it more pleasent to the eyes.

                  p.s. - I love my Avant!

                    Are Audi Coupes even coupes

The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) distinguishes a coupé from a sedan primarily by interior volume; SAE standard J1100 defines a coupé as a fixed-roof automobile with less than 33 cubic feet (0.93 cubic meters) of rear interior volume. A car with a greater interior volume is technically a two-door sedan, not a coupé, even if it has only two doors. By this standard, the Chevrolet Monte Carlo, Ferrari 612 Scaglietti, and Mercedes-Benz CL-Class coupés are all two-door sedans.

In the 19th century a coupé was a closed four-wheel horse-drawn carriage, cut (coupé) to eliminate the forward, rear-facing passenger seats, with a single seat inside for two persons behind the driver, who sat on a box outside. Commonly, a coupé had a fixed glass window in the front of the body, protected from road dirt by a high curving dashboard. A landau is a coupé with a folding top.

                      A COUPE gotta love wikapis@:myself

All I'm sayinlg is that I have had lots of dogfights in my dog kennel, but for some reason havent had a single coupe driver make a decent attempt at giving me a good thrashing, maybe its cuz they have to have thier dogs in the front of the car, who knows, even driving!!
