A1 from Hans Stuck's helmit (His blood type and mine) .
QSHIP from Quiet Ship, the name the Germans gave to the submarines.
Q is also for quattro of course.

At school the guys decided to stop calling me Ed, and instead use the last part of my christian name edWARD, or as they spelt it waad. The UK bit came from an old yahoo email account and just waad had gone. Used it ever since.

I got mine from a friend who is into old skool BMWs, after I took him out in my car to show him what quattro was all about.

                              The Thinning Beast

At Uni I used to rock climb and ice climb a lot, but I'm addicted to cake. Whenever I had a trip or expedition planned, I'd train hard and loose a stone or two - go do the climb - then get fat eating cakes when I got back.

My mates gave me the nickname because I was either far too big to be a climber (Beast) or frantically training to get back in shape (Thinning)

It's obscure - like most people's - which is what makes it good as a username
