Got to admire Anthony Hamilton, what a great speech to the ITV crew. He just said they were really happy to be here and not disapointed at all. Amazing attitude that will surely see the Hamiltons win big next year...

Personally, I knew De La Rosa in F3 (he drove for us) and I think he needs to be given another go.

At the time I was a Schumacher fan and stuck with him as he moved teams, even when he first went to Ferrari and everyone said he was past it because he didn't immediately win the championship.

To be honest I was wanting Massa to win this year and thought that he would do it based on his earlier results, but as it turns out Räikkönen turned good and has had the results get the championship.

Raikkonen won more races than anyone else this year, may have been a little quiet about it but he got there in the end.

Bry, I don't actually agree about McLaren being blatant cheats ...you must be naive to think none of the other teams do exactly the same thing!!! (Maybe not at the moment though, not with the world watching!!!) ....seriously, they got caught and penalised, but there was a time when everyone and his dog could poke their nose into an F1 car and see what made it tick.

I also don't agree that the FIA are going to be all over their designs to see if anything matches what Ferrari are doing ...exactly how closely must an idea match for FIA to rule it illegal for McLaren to use?!! Swan and Edison managed to develop lightbulbs totally unaware of each other (Swan a year earlier), so what makes them think McLaren can't do something for themselves? Guess they're going to be looking at the dates on preliminary schemes, but you carry a lot of ideas in your head (I know I do).

I agree at the end of the day raikkonen won more races than anyone else so probably a desrved winner. Hamilton lost the title two weeks ago when it was all in his hands but for some reason did not pit early enough. Lets face it what he has done this year is amazing and i am sure he will smash all the records in the sport. Good luck for next year lewis.

Absolutely gutted... a stellar job from Hamilton, shame it didn't quite come together for him this year... I follow the sentiments that it was lost in China really. Today was reliability, last GP was an error on the teams part really and shouldn't have happened. Made for a good bit of tense viewing, but with the front of the pack being fairly competitive even a perfect drive wasn't enough to close in the 30s needed to put him back in contention for the title.

As per the cheating thing, what aload of BS, according to the fella @ ferrari they benefitted with just as much leaked info but that of course was left outta the equation. Ferrari's constructors championship is as shallow as MC's in 94.

Ah well, congrats to Kimi he did deserve it, bring on next year!!

I kinda feel sorry for Kimi... the sports section on the BBC Breakfast news this morning started with well Formula 1 has a new world champion this morning, but it's not the one we were hoping for. I really hope he's not remembered as the champion in Hamilton's rookie year or something similar.

PS Since I'm (by descent) more Scandinavian than anything else, I tend to support the Fins, Danes, Norwegians and Swedes if/when the opportunity presents itself.

I really like Lewis and have immense respect for what he has done in such a short space of time - despite the clouds of conspiracy in his team - but it would a tradgic story if he won the title as a result of the BMWs getting disqualified over fuel. That is not the way he will have want to have won.

I'm sure he'll win it fair and square in the near future as long as he is in competitive / reliable car, but Mclaren blew it for him in China with that tyre fiasco. Still can't understand that one...

IMO Hamilton was broken at the start when Massa moved accross to block him and allow Raikkonnen thru to second place!After that Hamilton made several mistakes and never really looked like a winner for the rest of the race.His success was then in the hands of the drivers ahead of him,not his ability as a driver. Ferrari's race stratagy and cars were superior to Mclarens on the day and and they deserved to win the race and Raikkonnen the championship.

I REALLY hope McLaren do NOT appeal against the BMW fuel technicality, I firmly believe that Lewis would not want to win the title due to some court room battle.
As much as I wanted him to win it, if he was given it this way, you would NEVER hear the end of it!
It just makes them look desperate and shows sour grapes I think.
Let sleeping dogs lie, and come back next year to do it properly
