not an s2 but i have a wastegate question car is a audi a3 which has k03s which has 180bhp 0.8 bar with n type actuator which i think is a stiffer spring they say to cope with higher exhaust gases than the normal 150bhp actuator , but i have had my car remmaped and is producing around 220bhp around 1.3 bar on gauge so can the actuator hold as my car does not hold boost as well as it used to when first mapped , i have tried a n75 , and vag com showing no codes .?
any help appreciated
i have tested the pipes seem ok the turbo is a k03s which is better than the k03 , wouldnt the gases just push the wastegate open with the extra pressure?
would maf cause boost to tail off , what happens is it hits 1.3 bar then drops off 1 bar or less sometimes i will be off boost and hit boost it will not budge above 0.8 until i come off pedal and back on then it would be ok again but would still tail off?
A K03 can do more thn 1.3 bar. :mischeif:
I've seen <1.5 bar without any wastegate problems. Although a friend of mine had his wastegate fall apart resulting in no boost. He found the wastegate valve in his cat.
Are you sure it isn't a boost leak? Have you presure tested it? There are a lot of vaccum hoses around the N249 for example.
