If you are performing mods over a long time and wish to track the increase in power you need the one with which you can input corrections.

If you just want to see what power your car puts out at a specific time, summer or winter, the one without corrections will do.

I didnt realise these were this cheap, if i get round to getting a car i might buy one asi didnt know that rolling roads were so inaccurate.
The big advantage is that you can test whenever you feel like it, and you don't have to pay for dyno time. Make a few baseline pulls, then go back to your garage and do some adjustments or put on that new part, go out and make a few more pulls before you go back to your house, download the data to your PC and look at the graphs for performance evaluation. Another advantage is that the vehicle operates under real world conditions (airflow, temperature, load, etc). This is not always the case on a RR.

please get around the graphs and tell me more info about the power plots that it makes. How does it correspond with any dyno results you may have done?

well i took the car to a RR and it was a claimed 295 at flywheel, the racelogic box says 200 at wheels every time (very consistant on power runs) not sure about how much power is lost in the transmission.
and for the standing starts it seems to be really good, just not sure how to get the G-meter working

PerformanceBox uses a GPS system with an update rate of 10 samples per second, which is the fastest GPS engine in its class. From this you get a very accurate speed (±0.1kmh), cornering g-force, acceleration g-force and a very accurate distance measurement (±10cm in 400m).

just found that on the web site, so its not just me! phew
