But what would you rather have on your driveway? Corsa would probably blow away a standard S2 as well and a whole host of 'high performance' cars from a few years ago, but at the end of the day you'd still have to say that you owned a Corsa

I was thinking a lot about this car before I bought the RS2. There was a equally priced 16V EVOII, in very good condition when I was looking for a car. The only thing that put me off was that there isn't a garage or italian car dealer in this part of Norway. Beeing known for reliability issues, it could only be a second, or weekend car for me at best.
Also, I couldn't get myself not to buy an Audi

              It's an ICON

I love them no just because i'm italian....they're extremely nice and big fun to drive especially in my area northeast of Italy with hills and mountains

I do agree they're fragile and not cheap to keep....
Although in Italy it's easier to get proper mechanics (far easier then for my RS2) to work on it plus Clubs and Forums where you can find any kind of help or advise.

If any of you is after one of them there's one that was used to be the Private and the only one produced for Mister Gianni Agnelli himself.... for sale in Italy.....

It's a little bit expensive thoug.....but in MINT conditions

OMG - How tight is that engine bay - makes the S2 engine room look big and roomy
Brilliant looking thing - never drove one though.

They are absolute *******s to work on(and that is an understatement)
How about removing the intercooler to change the oil filter??
and the 8 valve ones aren't much better either............
You learn a lot of new words ending in "ing" working on these.............
and don't even get me started about changing a heater matrix.............

Are you joking? Only the second best rally car I can actually remember from the mid/late 80s.

The only thing that makes them more exiting than an S1 is the fact that they seem to be still phsically available to buy! Do correct me if i'm wrong as I was still collecting Top Trumps when these cars were dominating the WRC....

Sorry, meant to say I had my childhood ruined by being taken out in a Delta HF integrale after going out in a porsche 911, and realising looks don't equal speed, devastating.

                                Then I bought an avant
