Penalty for Hamilton to the next race for taking Kimi out.

On that basis, Raikkonen wouldn't have suffered today at all - as he'd have been penalised for taking Sutil out at Monaco.Martin Cutting

PS brilliant result for Kubica - and I thought Massa coped well, KR was really mumbling about track conditions after qualifying but Massa proved the Red Machine could work in the circumstances!Martin Cutting

I'm sorry i just had to stirr things up little bit, there was another car also who crashed and it was Rosberg.
But wasn't Kimi fastest driver today?
Just read Hamilton will get a penalty of 10 places on the next qualifying, same for Rosberg.

Hamilton, Kimi
I would think it is slightly different circumstances, one under racing conditions and loosing it, the other stopping at traffic lights and been hit whilst stationary.AelredComment

Lewis Hamilton has been given a 10-place grid penalty for the French Grand Prix as a result of the crash that took out his McLaren and Kimi Raikkonen's Ferrari during the Canadian Grand Prix on Sunday.

Hamilton looked particularly pissed off about this one... not surprisingly, but i am surprised Raikkonen took is so well!
Kubica deserved the win considering, but there's no getting away it only happened because Hamilton and Raikkonen were out.
Well done BMW and DC!S2Forum.com AdministratorComment

I've watched the clip over and over on the ITV website and if you watch the clip when they show the view of the pitlane lights, it's actually showing the flashing blue (equivalent to a blue flag but doesn't really mean stop) and then switches to red a split second before the impact ...it's so close to call I have now wonder if the penalty is a little harsh.
Kimi Raikkonen and Robert Kubica reacted to the flashing blue, not strictly the red - if you were filling out an insurance claim you can't blame either of them, of course, but this ain't about polite road manners. Montreal seems to be the home of unusual pitlane violations (seen cars DQ for passing a red light there before), and I keep looking back at this clip and thinking it's just a case of appeasing the Red Machine ....again.Martin Cutting
