Just as a matter of interest did MY94 start in Jan '94? Anyone know how many were produced in MY93?

from a trim perspective we have, (correct me if I'm wrong)

Black - Black Dash - Cloth
Black - Black Dash - Leather
Blue - Black Dash - Cloth
Grey - Grey Dash - Cloth

Were there any other variations?

Doug, yes I think it's the one you are refering to, used to be on ebay and like you I thought it just didn't look right, not that I know much about S2's. Maybe just cos the seller hadn't seemed to make much of an effort to make the car look good. I think it's now on the autotrader, but the piccy it a bit too small to be able to tell much.

No, mine is a MY94 and it was registered in October '93.

The tenth digit of the VIN will tell you the MY.

P = 1993
R = 1994
S = 1995

...or you could use the VIN decoder at s2central.

They also did a beige interior with cream leather.

The model year (MY) starts in July/August (ish)

ie MY94 was built from August 1993 - July 1994
