You can change the style the forum displays by selecting your preferred style at the bottom left of the site.
We have made an enhancement so that old threads should now link from search results to the correct thread. This is not yet in place for single post links
Jees - and some folk wonder when me, Greg and the moderators get in a flap if any posts get out of control... Tis very rare on here mind, with the mighty fine bunch of people treading this board, but it just proves how things can escalate out of control.
Free speech is one thing, but if abusive / inflammatory remarks are being directed at a garage that is simply alleged to have done something wrong then they have a right to clear matters up. Admittedly shutting down the entire forum is a very drastic measure - but if they have real trolls on there, it will only flare up again quickly I spose.

Paul, Jamo, Greg, and the other moderators do a good job as twice today i was stuck trying to fixed/repair my S2 and twice i had to resort to the forum for
Happy to help as much as possible, just wish I had more time to add more info to S2central.net and clean it up a bit. I sometimes struggle finding stuff on there - and its hilarious when I read older parts of it again - thinking to myself - this is quite useful, but I have no recollection of writing it - its like new information all over again sometimes. My brain must be shrinking
It really is as unlike us who really are only S2 specific even though we help others with audis the volvo forum was every volvo they did loads of guys with parts for older vehicles and common faults etc etc
The solution is to pickle it in alcohol at a young age, so that stays nicely preserved That's what I did and I am absolutely normal can't remember my own name, but other than that, completely normal

I used to post on a dj/music related forum and they went through something similar.
Someone posted some comments about a member on there, who took it all very personally and got lawyers and all sorts of crap involved.
The result was the forum being closed for months and at the time it was thought it may never open again... in the end it did reopen, but with VERY strict rules regarding posts about other people and arguing.
All very sad really.
