Latest fine tuning for Tomi´s red S2 seems to have effect and end speed ~247km/h and closing slowly the 250km/h border.

      Calculator for estimated BHP:

Calculate your approximate best possible quarter miles time from BHP & weight. See what it takes to get a 10 second car.

      - nice rough estimates

Should there be more boost ?

Last two races have been a struggle.

At Nitro Nats the rear diff blew up for the first time. Total three diffs blown in five runs. Timewise nothing to report.

At Summernats we had reinforced stuff at the rear. First three pulls with enormous loss of traction, and times around 9,3, trap speeds at 245-248km/h level.

So we reduced the launch power, got grip and blew two more diffs. At the same time we also squeezed some more boost to top end.

Last two pulls were nice to watch. Rear diff gave up immediately at launch. Then three endless black stripes throughout the whole quarter, all the way to the very end. Even the announcers talked about never seen a car leave more than two stripes to the track - especially for the whole 400 metres. Scarily enough Tomi almost drove out, when released the throttle after finish, when the tires stopped spinning the car started to wobble at 240+ km/h. Luckily nothing serious happened.

So, no more boost at this point. Driving with around three bar already.

Horsepower at the moment? hmm... All I can say, most likely more than anyone else without nitrous and/or stroker crank...

More rigid stuff is already on it's way for Alastaro Finals, so beware. Here we come.

I still cannot stop wondering how on earth the stock 01e gearbox still hangs on. This same tranny has been in the car for more than two seasons...

                Hi!

Can You just help me out a lil' bit and tell me the weight of Tomi's S2.

I have the times "of course" , but to get the HP I need the weight.

                Thx

P.S. @Repo, you didn't said anything to my previous post

                    Thanks!

So, race ready is then the weight with Tomi I think.

                    Is that right?

Some amazing times being run! What diffs are these 9 second cars running? Standards with them locked? Or aftermarket limited slip diffs?

Driving quartermile is not always easy.

Tomi's season is done. Result, lots of broken driveline parts. 9,27/239 was the best, second place in finnish street cup in his rookie season.

                                Best 660ft was 5,6 and best 660 speed 202km/h.

Car is still drivable. Only the last spare tranny is in the car, without 1st gear, like seen on clip, the last launch is done with secodn gear.

Finnish season is gone. Some races still to come in south. We'll see. Maybe September I can send my cheque to the winner.
