As jamo said what size wiring you using,
where did you fuse the power lead
how big a fuse do you use
where have you earthed the amp

Sounds like some sort of bad connection.
Did your electrician monitor the power supply terminal voltage during failure?

        Either 2 things

        1) Wiring too small

        2) Amp to small

You say once it gets to a certain volume it cuts out. Thats classic amp going into protection mode because the sub is demanding more watts than the amp can supply.

Whats the RMS of the sub rating and the RMS of the amp output?

I presume the impedance of the sub matches the output impedance of the amp?

Yeh good shout is the sub wired at 2 ohms and the amp only 4 ohm stable?

Hi Guys. The dei 2400d is 2 ohm stable. As i mentioned before you need to check ur subs. Are they dual 2's or dual 4's?? If you have d4's they should be wired series parallel which should give u a load of 4ohms. If you have d2's they should be wired series parallel to giv you a load of 2 ohms. Turn your amp gain down and try it like i mentioned before. But u you say you have tried 3 amps. Were you using the same subs?? If so then it seems to point towards checking your sub wiring and confirm with a multimeter.
