rs2 front subframe part number help needed

according to vagcat the part number for the front subframe on an Rs2 appears to be:

    8A0 199 313 BC

    however my customer indicates its:

    8A0 199 315G

but I cant find that part number in vagcat (I dont have a proper euro Family Album at the moment so he could be right). The 1st part number I can cross reference to a B4 90 with v6 engine subframe in the USA. From the pictures he sent it sure looks like a normal 80/90/4000q subframe but I wanted to see if anyone here could shed some light on the subject.

    Thanks!

AFAIK the V6 front subframe has the same mounting points as the ABY / RS2 subframe.

I haven't got access to the faminly album at work so will check later.

Somebody will bound to post up the details in the meantime.

B4 type front subframes are all the same, they just have more/less brackets for the gearbox and some lil strenghtening points.

so just bringing this back one more time. So we have PN 8A0 199 313 BC as the Rs2 front subframe part number. Can it be confirmed that the USA spec B4 V6 front subframe will bolt up to an RS2?

just look at it, if it has tranny mounts on both sides it is the thing you need.

The USA spec B4 V6 subframe and RS2 subframes are identical (8A0 199 313 BC). Basically the same subframe is used in V6 models and S/RS variants.

From you first post I assume the part number 8A0 199 315 G is stamped on the subframe itself? It is not a valid VAG part number and as such I would suggest it is a sub component number for whichever bit of the subframe it is stamped on.

@S2Avant, cool, if thats the case I can definitely source a v6 subframe for small money. Thanks very much.

haha, I wish! No, a customer that bought a VEMS box from me was looking for help finding a replacement for his subframe so he sent me some pictures when I asked for them so I could try to compare them with other more readily available options here in the USA. Based on the responses I'm going to pick up a used B4 V6 subframe from my local audi parts yard and compare to the photos. From the sounds of it, they should be compatible. Thanks guys!

however i think you can use a 5 speed subframe with a spacer for the gear box mount, not sure, seem to remember one of the platforms being a different height

speaking of subframes, i bought one off another forum member and its identical to my old aby one but for the fact that the holes where teh bushes fit are about 2mm larger on the new one than the old one, phoned vag parts and they had no listing for any different subframe bush sizes for the coupe or the aby??

any help would be greatly appreciated as its the final hard part i need on the front end... or im going to need to buy a second new one

AFAIK 3Bs use M10 subframe bolts, and ABYs use M12, so the mounts are different too.
