Problem is that with stuff going NLA how long is it before half of us have to start doing that? think jas has just got a head start on us all (and soon will own all the spares at this rate )
See no 25 and 99 The one I bought of Andy (andyg plym) went in the TDi.
@ S2central.....
No more crazy than spending obscene amount of cash of go faster stuff for the S2. You know the stuff, stroked and caressed blocks, pistons and rods made from diamond, turbo's the size of a small african country, reversed upside down and inside out manifolds made from cast unobtanium, and all that malarky. You get the picture.
If I had to sell all these spares, I'd 100% get at least my money back, but more than likely return a handsome and tidy profit.
All that list above has set me back no more than £700 over the space of 5-6years.
As Pete says, it's all about saving for the day they go NLA, which they will, as sure as the sun rises and sets.

S2's are being forced into extinction by the obsolete god

i've got a 6 meter shipping container with racks full of stuff. And a garage/workshop full of stuff. I'm about to put everything in an excel sheet because I find myself regularly surpised with the stuff I find over there Or that I buy parts that were collecting dust already in the workshop.........

I think I'm going to have to do the same and put them in a spreadsheet Jeffer, good idea
As you can see, I plan on keeping both my cars for some time yet. If I do sell, I'll be able to shift the parts on, or let them go with the car to help it's next owner.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that gets surprised by some forgotten parts. I thought about making a parts list too, but I don't really have the time, what with 6 VAG group cars in the family and parts bins for each chassis group.
