id rather have a 7a turbo than a 3b any day. plus a built engine is new a 800 quid 3b is not.

each to their own. being an aby man id never have a 3b

having had a SC car id proboly not have one again as i like more power than one can reliebly produce. I did love my G60 i think mainly because the corrado is a better car than the audi coupe. its stiffer, handles far better and stops better. i couldn't go back to around 200hp though which is what my C did.

Thanks for you posts I'm now trying to work out which direction to go in. Does any body no more about fitting a turbo to the 7A. What parts, cost ect. Any more ideas performance wise would be really appreciated.
        Thanks

          treatr the 7a as a vw 16vt + 1 pot.

i built my 16vt with wiseco 83mm pistons, scat rods and new pumps etc. i was gonig to have bigger valves on the exhaust side and some high end porting too. that part costs.

turbo wise i run what i was gonna on my 16vt which is basically a gt35/40 non bb. fairly big.

lots of options and opinions. there is no best way as a turbo setup is about compromise between top end power and lag.

for the cheap option go with a log manifold and a t04E 57trim with a 0.63 hotside. good for 400whp.

plus loads of other parts. the most important part is the engine management.

speak to paul at the bost factory. he is a 16vt guru and the same rules apply. paul was making in excess of 500whp over 2 years ago on a 2l 16vt
