The sensor may be very stiff to move initially.

Not a great description, but hopefully you can understand what I'm trying to get across. Also get some spare sensors from any Audi 80 with ABS in the local breakers yards and swop one or two of the sensors, unless someone else has any suggestions?

You'll see the run of the sensors cables and how they disconnect when you look at the breakers car.

Also if the car is new to you, check all of the fuses to see they are all intact and that there are all correctly rated?

    HTH further.

    Kind regards.
    I also agree with this,

fronts are routed up into the inside wing and literally about 5-10 mins to remove.

rears you need to lift the rear seat and unplug them then slowly pull them thru from underneath.

Thats the easy part, getting them out of the hub can be a pain. I've had cars which just twist and come out easily but some are a right pita (ask error404 )

Not sure if all sensors are the same/same size and unfortunately I don't have etka infront of me to do a quick check.

Good luck with sorting it, don't think its nothing really major.

Before you start fiddling with any sensors, vagcom it,and even if it gives a code for a sensor it could be the ring on the cv joint that is damaged/completely disintegrated.BTDT and ended up damaging a perfectly good sensor. There is also a relay/s on the abs pump which can play up,need to change one of mine actually again vagcom will tell you if it is one of those (j106 in my case)

yea thank you once again guys i will get onto that asap however i have been smelling fuel for a while around the car and could never seem to locate where it was coming from but now i have.
i spotted a patch of fuel on the floor when i moved th s2 and investigated to find it coming from 1 of the 3 fuel pipes that run from front to back.
When i had a closer look it seems that all 3 pipes are falling to bits so yet another job to undertake!!

any ideas or past experiance on this matter as i dont know if to just replace the worst bits with flexy for now. Or replace them all either in metal (as std) or poss in plastic and where to get parts from???

Either way its not a small job by any means and to be honest its the most important job as NO FUEL, NO GO!

Send a pm to GT500 and he will replace the pipes for you.
          He likes doing them.

Tried to look under the back seat, you will se a small vacuum hose that goes to the diff lock. This hose also has a one valve to make sure that the diff lock does not see positive pressure. On my car this valve was stuck on permanent open, which meant that diff lock engaged and abs went off everytime it pressed the gas pedal. This could be the source of one of your problems.

Rite now iv replaced all the fuel pipes and tested them to be ok, iv also had a good look at the diff lock and im 95% sure its the air actuator on the diff thats leaking.
it looks to have 2 vac pipes connected, 1 for open and another for close and 1 of the hoses has no resistance at all and its defo not the hose as iv checked so i have come to think its the actuator at fault.

as for the engine i took her out when id finished and is still running just short of 0.5 bar and no more and still seems to be missing a pot every now and then, and also cuts out some times for no reason.

im getting there slowly bit by bit but the missing and boost issue is bothering me??
