Glad you had a good time guys, I couldnt make it in the end as i had to look after a farm for the weekend but i heard stu did a lap in under 2hours and 40minutes on saturday
too!
. You car is approx 200bhp and 1300kg, the S2 is 300bhp but with a passenger and extra S2ness (and the fact that I weigh lots too
) I reckon on mine being about 350kg heavier! You're faster than I am through the fast corners (flugplatz, schwedencreuz, fuchsrohe) as these are the ones that I'm still not confident with in the big heavy bus on sock springs (self preservation and all that!) but I'm guessing that top speeds are higher for the S2 due to the power advantage. Just goes to show that a well handling car driven properly is always better on track than a bus with lots of power. Good work, I hope we'll be out there at the same time next year and can go play! I need to be smoother, something that the RARB upgrade demands otherwise it's slippy slidey sideways time, off the power anyway.
) of the car was impressive. Definately handling on top of power on the nurburgring. My slowest section was the long uphill stint after breidsheid where I just manged a top speed of 100mph but pretty much held that speed through all the corners bar bergwerk until i got to the corner just before the carousell. I took flugplatz and foxhole flat on most of my laps with a slight dab and gear change before schwedenkreuz (schwedenkreuz still scares the sh*t out of me).
Not sure what speed i hit but its one of the few sections where i can reach fifth and floor it, and wait for the G's in the dip
. I leave it until after the dip to slam on the anchors.
