I think the S4 saloon is ugly as hell, no doubt it shifts though when tuned. PPC did a feature on Doug's S4 last month and the price for them is as low as 3-4k!

Be an B5 RS4 for me. I've looked into it quite a bit and they are now within my price reach. It would mean the end of the S2 but I've got unfinished business there 1st


My ultimate choice though would be a 20v stroker URQ

I dont think they are ugly as such, but do think they (and the avant) look very bland and not that much different from a normal A4

Sorry to pile in also Jamo,

but half the kudos in my book is that they look nice and tame, S4 Saloon that is.

But have all of the abilities one could normally need. 500bhp, 4wd, six speed, leather etc. is enough for me !

I think the S4 looks pretty good against her old cousin!!!, would be interesting to see what a standard S2 against a standard S4 on a track!

Seems to me that things are going to get a lot worse before they get any better...in the last few days ive had emails and phone call from owners of cars ive looked at offering their cars at `greatly` reduced prices for a quick sale...think i will sit tight for a bit with my cash and see what comes along...hate to see so many S2 s and RS2 s up for grabs in this current climate ... oh and btw avants

I agree Al. S2s (even avants ) are at bargain basement prices right now, and if I hadn't already embarked on the "RS2 coupe" project, I would be tempted to buy another...

mmm yes my brother has gone through 3 or 4 gearboxes in his rs6 now, also, every 2 weeks the suspension needs a top up as the mk 1 DRC system is pants. They improved it in the rs4 with the mk 2 but now they have totally dropped DRC and going with the new TT suspension on the new rs6.

If your planning on byuing one put aside £1500 for some koni's.
