Pompous/cry baby/mean spirited Ashhat or what? I just watched the Vietnam special (aired on Sunday the 28th) and I just couldn't believe JC. Puts me off wanting to watch any more Top Gear.
Is this just me?

He can be a big prat but all is forgiven for those frequent moments of legendary Clarksonism. Having watched Clarkson since I was 10 he's a bit of a hero. The Vietnam special was hilarious. Not much to do with motoring but plenty of comedy boyish antics.

i would describe him as a likeable a***ole
i love topgear but i think it has become more and more rediculous as time has gone by-mostly due to said presenter-i still watch it though and yes jezza is a legend
It's a love/hate relationship with the S2,i love it,it hates me
the vietnam special was one of the funniest i've seen for ages and should be taken in the spirit that it was intended, JC says what everyone thinks and is to scared to say his collumn in the paper is class. JC FOR PRIMEMINISTER !!!!!!!!
Yup. JC is a legend and watching him have a sense of humour failure was brilliant. You can't fake reactions like that, I loved it!
Roll on the next series...

agree with most of the other comments, for someone who hasn't been on a bike before it can be a bit daunting but at least in the end he gave it a go, lost a bit of blood on the way and still won
Agreed, JC can be a ****, but that was one of the funniest programs I have watched in ages.
I love bikes, but I wouldn't want to learn to ride a scooter in the middle of Vietnam...They must be crazy to attempt it!!
Clarkson is an oaf, but a very funny out spoken one who is capable of voicing observations and opinions that other journalists would never dare to. The Vietnam special was one of the highlights of the televisual year for me, absolutely hilarious!!!. It's amazing the BBC's health and safety Gestapo allowed them to embark on such ridiculous venture, I used to ride bikes and would have had serious reservations about braving the suicidal traffic in heavily built up far eastern cities, especially on something with four horse power. Top marks for coming up with such a crazy idea, I have done some highly irresponsible things in my time but nothing quite at that level.
Unfortunately I doubt next years series will be quite as elaborate due to BBC cut backs triggered by the worldwide financial doom. Non the less I for one will be eagerly awaiting the return of the three idiots. Long live Top gear!!!
