hmmm rocco if you actually do search you will notice that it costs as a basic price 280GBP + VAT.http://www.performancebox.co.uk/overview.html go to online store and put your info there, you get all prices

If you dont search enough you might not do things you may like for your car but thought they were too expensive...

Besides i bought it even cheaper out of a group buy from greece so hey! didn have to spend 795GBP for it!

Thats on a GT35R, MUCH bigger turbo capable of 680 ish hp depending on what spec it is.

Good results from the 3071, I will eventually go down that route as I'm using one on my engine I'm building for my Escort.

Hi Papvas, great results man. I think we are about on the same number as I measured 369 WHP on the dyno with approx the same engine setup like you (although I do run a RS2 IC and no water injection).
For me I will not upgrade the turbo soon, as the performance drive and the full boost kicking in at 3200 is just soooooo nice.

I think for a daily driver and a person behind the steering wheel who likes to floor the pedals once in a while, the GT3071R 0.63 is hard to beat!

Some mighty impressive figures indeed and certainly in the right ballpark for what's been done to the car. Losses wise I looked at my dyno data and worked ovt some conversions from whp to fly and at 6k it's about 1.25 and at 7k 1.30. Make of that what you will as converting real world to dyno and vice versa is a point of contention for sure.

Does seem heavy though, removing weight will get you a few tenths here and there. Some nice light wheels would make a good difference too.

however i did install some dynamat paper on the doors and trunk floor for noise insulation.... !

I think the weight on the car i guess comes from the stuff i carry, extra wheel alone (wheel+tyre must be about 18kg),tool box, 2 jackers/lifters, bigger battery.... etc

Why do you haul your entire collection of tools around in your car? Don't trust your own handiwork
The spare tire weighs a little over 20kg

hmmm after all the trouble i have seen and had with this car,i never go anywhere without my little box of magic tools!!! hehe

And hopefully my handywork is quite far from being capable to halt the car on the highway...those 5cyl engines have a mind of their own sometimes...

                            Right,
some new runs were done this Saturday although i was experiencing the small roughness on all runs i did get the same results as before. A mean 270kW whp again.

I did put the car on a weighbridge and it weighed 1700Kg on a 63l full tank and with all things i carry around with me when i drive it.(i know i know..i have to go on a diet)

However the weighbridge has a +/- 20Kg error and that was clear by the fact that when we weighed the car with me and my fiance in,it gave a number of 1820Kg,which is not true,as we weigh together at least 140Kg fully clothed!! SO i believe that the car weighs on a full tank about 1700-1720Kg so i would use 1710Kg and add the true Kgs thereafter.

SO the new measurements were more strict this time as i used as the car's weight 1830kg initially and 1828 afterwards as the fuel consumption was going up!!!However i realise now that in truth i should have used 1710+140=1850kg as highest and take it down from there. Anyway...

as for the g-tech vs PB for the power runs i have to say this.: the g-tech measures something that is called 'net horsepower' which is a number without the rolling resistance and air drag resistance. On one run that i managed to use both of them together,i got 238.5kW on G-tech and 248kW on the PB on a 2nd gear pull.

That leads me to believe that the PB has some kind of internal math equation to add some part of the airdrag during the power run measurement on whp (before calculating losses) and thats because, when i do power runs on 3d gear i always get more whp than 2nd gear pulls.
Of course 3d gear has more load and boost and it is logical to have more whp,HOWEVER on 150kms i have 46hp airdrag and on 110kms i have 14hp airdrag. Now if im making 260kw on 2nd gear pulls and 270kw on 3d gear pulls (10kw=14hp) then that means that my 3d gear :

                            1) is either making: 46hp more than my 2nd gear (if we believe that PB is NOT measuring any airdrag on whp setting

                            2) is producing that figure because of some PB air drag measurement of some sort.

When you do a run with the PB to calculate the losses (manual says that it measures rolling+air losses),then you end up with a crank power number which is much closer to reality. For instance i got as crank hp max: 298kW(405hp)(and i think i still have to add some kind of drive terain losses in that as well)

Anyway more or less a friend of mine has made up an excel file that can use the accurate data from the PB to calculate power and torgue, without taking into account the power figure the PB makes, and we found that the numbers are slightly lower than the ones the PB makes.

We then add the air drag according to the frontal area and cd number. Also we are giving the gear ratio to kms so that we get an accurate rev range as well. And of course we add the weight. So even if the weight is not put in correctly during the measurements, by the km vs time we can now see the power figures!

enough talk now... here is a 3d gear pull from that day...
