I'm after some data from an accelerometer based performance measurer to try and see how the start point relates to the acceleration and speed for hard launches in the 0 to 60 style and thus standing 1/8th, 1/4, 1 km, 1 mile etc. Basically I want to see whether the launch follows the initial shape of the acceleration vs. time or speed vs. time curves and thus get the most accurate way of calculating it.
I need an accelerometer based measurement device as they are much better for standing starts. My GPS device detects a movement in a 0.2s space so I need to interpolate. Easy for rolling speed as there's a near constant slope but not so at the beginning.
All in the vein of saving money

anyone? I've had to make some assumptions at this stage and I know that I'm getting over optimistic results. Without a G force logger I can't get an estimate of the transition from stationary to moving. It seems to be less than one data point on my 5Hz GPS so I'd guess that 0.1s is a realistic guestimate...
