Not dared take the S2 out the garage for fear that someone else will ***** it. Had to park the daily drive diesel on the (steep) drive forwards as the wheels were just spinning trying to reverse it up as normal.
Ck.
Shocked, exhausted, hosed, bushed, dumped, chipped, mounted, filtered, gauged, packed, intermittantly wiped and braked. I mean broken. Now, about the car...
There was only about 5 cm of snow here yesterday, but I had to find an excuse to go out for a drive last night. I went to see a mate who has an M3 Evo.
LMAO at the Disco drivers getting stuck before I left home. There was almost nothing else on the roads so I had some great fun.
I saw the worst advert for a 'disco' on the news last night... parked in some dorks driveway as he was shovelling all of about 6 inches of snow away from behind it... He's obviously never found the 4WD buttons before, nor realised the mahoosive ground clearance. Duhhh - just drive it you jockey... Actually no - I've reconsidered - stay at home with an extra pair of socks on - you clearly have the common sense of a gnat and would be a danger to all other road users, pedestrians, lamposts (and polar bears if your GPS gadget broke down in the cold). Awww bless.....
It cracks me up every time we get snow here. I live down an unmade track, shared with about 6 'proper' 4x4s. Something's not right when I'm the only one that can get out, even in the A3 with it's inferior Haldex system.
Took these this morning... I know they're a bit 'family-album' ish but JPL (Graeme) from Strathaven (who introduced us to the delightful puppy-dog you see here) and others might like to see them...
Took the mad mutt up onto the hills this morning, the snow was pretty deep up on Cissbury Ring, with it quite often over my boots. We've not had snow like this here for quite a few years.
Lot of it has thawed today, but there seems to be some questionmarks over Thursday and Friday now...

Here is the link to our website that helps to explains why high performance summer tyres do not perform in low ambient temperatures or in ice and snow conditions, even on a quattro.
Numerous innovations, over one hundred winter tyre patents, and high rankings in magazine tests year after year have made the Nokian Hakkapeliitta and other Nokian winter tyres legendary. All Nokian snow and winter tyres comply with Victorian Alpine Resorts (Management) Regulations 2020 definition of “snow tyre”. Learn more in Australian Regulations.

SOUTHEAST Australia's record-breaking heatwave has caused the deaths of at least six Victorians and there could be more.
Victoria Police deputy commissioner Kieran Walshe said on Saturday the force had documented six cases on Friday in which they believed people had died from heat-related stress.
The temperature climbed to 45.1 degrees celsius in Melbourne on Friday afternoon, the city's second-hottest day on record.
But the death toll may be far higher.
Ambulance Victoria treated more than 150 people on Friday, and another 60 by Saturday afternoon for heat-related issues.
The heat-wave may also have contributed to the deaths of as many as 30 South Australians where the heatwave has been just as severe.
On Saturday, Melburnians enjoyed some relief as the temperature dropped below 30 degrees after three consecutive days of 43 degrees or more, but much of Victoria continued to swelter.
I'm slightly regretting my decision to take the BM to Mum's and leave the Audi safe and well at home... got so used to ignoring weather reports down this way . At least I won't need to clear the front window when I go for a drive
