Geee that sucks!
How do new audis do it? I assume it is just a light behind the face?
Still, maybe we could use a screen like the DIS on newer audis and use that to show the warnings? I am sure someone on here has the expertise.
The new batch of plasma gauges

I'd love to reverse engineer the autocheck & on-board computer to put something a bit more up to date in place of the factory item, but its quite a big project and I have enough of those for this lifetime. It would be a lot of money to do it properly, but there is some potential for a nice gizmo to use that space for the Autocheck & OBC visuals to display much more data.Leave a comment:

Yeah, i had a good crack at this . It beat me though as we coldnt get the voltages right. The inverter that changes 12 - 14v to the plasma gauges couldn't handle so many inputs, so the only way to do it would have been to run separate inverters per warning light and that would have been a night mare and cost loads per set.

Oh and shouldn't the water temp graduations be at 50-90-120 degrees ?Leave a comment:

Hey Bo, looking good!
What about the warning lights, did you have to give up on that idea? I was hoping we could get a screen made up to go in the place of the original warning lights much like the newer audi information systems.Leave a comment:
