    Laser Detector/Jammer/Parking Sensor/Diffuser

Does anyone have a Laser Detector/Jammer/Parking Sensor that they would recommend?

There are several parking aids and garage door opening devices on the market which have the unfortunate affect of sometimes jamming police speed guns.

From the research I have done the best two are the Laser Interceptor & the Laser Pro Park. The website below backs up these two as being the best on the market:

So I was wondering if anyone on here had any experience of these devices or whether there are any others on the market that people would recommend?

I should be picking up my first S2 in a couple of weeks so I'm looking for some protection for my licence!

    Cheers,

    Will

Don't get me wrong I wouldn't treat a parking sensor as a licence to speed.

The trouble is that speed guns are notoriously inaccurate and unreliable and often give false readings. I'd just like to avoid having to go to court to prove my innocence when the police try to zap me in future. Several years ago I was clocked on the M5 by police who claimed I was doing 103, they gave me a note of intended prosecution but I didn't hear anything again. So I had a lucky escape there, I just would like to have a bit more than luck to fall back on in future...

They are inaccurate alright. I got done about a year ago, only 85 (so it claimed) on a duel carriage way. Took it to court etc. Anyway a year later and i had almost £300 of court fees plus the points plus some other fees and them some tax on top. Anyway, from the video it was painfully obvious that i was not speeding but they took the equipments readout over my word...

Im interested in one of these too as i find it f****** discussing how the police get away with fines in this country...

you need to have a legally defendable reason to have a "jammer", AFAIK after-market parking sensors are not but an electric garage door is

I think the new Snooper is a parking aid:mischeif:

I have and can highly recommend Beltronics detectors - http://www.beltronics.com/ - I've had a Vector 995 for about 3 years.
They can be bought for quite reasonable prices on ebay - I got mine off a US based ebay store that shipped internationally.
The models vary in features with price but an important feature to have is to be able to individually enable or disable each 'band' so you're not detecting frequencies which arent used by police where you live. (too much constant false alarms and you'll start ignoring the alarms).
Here in Western Australia it works fantastic for 'Multinova' (Ka band) cameras which are set up on tripods in different locations each day to collect revenue from anyone doing 5km/h or more that the speed limit. It also detects handheld and car mounted (K band) radar well but this band false alarms when passing automatic door (eg, shops, petrol stations, etc) good in country areas though. Hand held 'Laser' band is hard to detect because the beam is so narrow so unless its pointed right at you it might not detect it - at which point you wouldn't have much warning to slow down.

Legalities will depend on where you are, totally legal here in Western Australia ... although they're illegal in all other states in Oz.

Was that a hand held gun that they got you with there? Unusual for them to be shooting you up the rear, from what I've read they usually do you from the front.

Surely you're allowed to scratch your head while driving!?
