hi guys need some help and advice hoping to get my s2 repaired very shortly after some idiot in a van went into the back of it am wanting to do 2 things to it am wanting to put a miltek exhaust on it now it has one from the middle to the back of the car am now wanting it complete so it goes from middle to engine and secondly advice would my car suit 17" or 18" alloys?? at the moment it has standard 16" avus i was thinking of rs6 style or rs4 please feel free to give advice thanks
I hope the chassis is all OK if its had a tap from behind
So your after a milltek down pipe, sport cat (?) and centre section, assuming you already have the backbox?
As for alloys, 18"'s are a harder ride but look better IMO and will be better on track. Plenty of people run 17's and 18's - the 996 323mm upgrade fits behind both
i managed to move my car a little out the way cause i saw him coming and i was stuck in 2 lanes of static traffic with no where to go the bumper scratched the body work just above the crease badly dinted its so annoying cause the car was immaculate before hand so i dont think its done to mush damage so you recomend 17's but what style??
As for wheels, it really is a question of personal taste.
For me it has to be OEM wheels, replica OEM wheels or BBS's. I don't think any other wheel does an S2 justice.
Depends on the colour of your car, what has already been done to it and what you intend to it in the future.
18" S8 Avus's look the dogs privates.
BBS Le Mans look the nuts too
BBS RC are nice, but them I am biased
The B7 RS4 replicas look good in 18" as do the RS6 Replicas (original version)...
P.S. As Andy has already said, 17's are a perfect compromise between ride, looks and handling, 18's are a harsher slightly more tramlining ride but look better and possible compromise outright handling. (Cue much debate... )
HTH

Wheels are a personal choice. So many alloys I see on cars I can't stand, some people have already stated they don't like my 19" and I don't care for some of the BBS styles out there or 5 spoke alloys.
Go with what you think looks good and f*ck everybody else as most are just jealous that they haven't got any.
cheers steve ive got to say yours looks a real beaut!! is it black? and have u had the sills painted black? cause it certainly finishes the car off nicely mine is a black s2 and it was and will be again stunning! had back box miltek put on also konis with powerflex bushes so she handles pretty well think i might get my sills done currently grey
Being different is really hard, when I got my S8's there were only about 3-4 of us on the forum with them, then they became a bit common however on a Coupe i'm sorry there is no better looking bar the BBS LM's for size and OEMness.

Thanks.
No, my car is actually Amethyst Pearl, (Dark Purple / Grey) but looks black in my sig.
The sills are standard too and dark grey, again, sig is deceiving.
Have a look on the "showcase your car" thread and see what takes your fancy, every design out there is probably on that thread.
