I sent my original letter to PH but no reply.
As for the AUdi Forums, I have joined them and have posted up links where appropriate or added my encouragement to the posts already setup by existing NLA members. Need to get some active members of each forum on side really.Leave a comment:

has this been flagged to Club Audi, URQ owners club and the like, they both should have a very vested interested in getting attached to NLA. Maybe a letter onto Pistonheads might also galvanise some action>Leave a comment:

Momentum on the site has slowed somewhat... I've got another photographer coming today for the local paper (over 500,000 in greater Bristol) and there is work going on in the background on the database courtesy of Sonic. Have to hope that some of the motoring press, the monthly mags, get involved on some level. Audi Driver are...
If the VAG boys want to join in then they need to get over to the site and if there's interest we'll give them their own section for sure.Leave a comment:

This is fantastic
As has been mentioned above we need to keep the momentum going.
I know first hand that the mK1 Golf crowed have very similar problems, there part of VAG after all so Ill let them know.
A convoy to MK to deliver a petition sounds awesome. BRING IT ON

Of course, with new car manufacture dropping off like a stone, the money to be made in reasonably priced maintenance of older cars should be a large carrot to Audi and any other manufacturer.Leave a comment:

'Environmental' is all about stance from what I can see.
Consider the vast amount of raw energy consumed in the manufacture of a new motorcar. Yes it may do far more miles per gallon than an older car and have better emissions, but overall the true net environmental scale tips in favour of maintaining older cars and not making new ones. From a financial economics POV yes new cars steal the show.Leave a comment:

think one of the main one's would have to be the clutch plate
once again top work andy's and all else involved.Leave a comment:

Just been interviewed by a reporter from the Evening Post... I tried to avoid environmental issues and Audi's stance but I guess these things can slip out when you're off guard. I have asked to review the article from a technical perspective too, just to be sure.Leave a comment:

Rusty - pls send me an email addy I can use to get something under your eyes for review. HPmuirt and I are about finished drafting 'that' letter. Rather than any more suggestions in open forum - I'm going to post the final draft in the moderators section.... The plan is to polish it off over the weekend and Email it Monday - I will post the final official letter here and on the NLA site when we are done.
You can hit me at s2central(AT)mac.com - better that than PMs, cutting and pasting....Leave a comment:
