This is brilliant, well done guys, its bad enough getting parts here without ze mother land crippling its supply. Audi must have a monster storage facility in Singapore as everything i have ordered or enquired about is "2 weeks from singapore" including some odd ball trim pieces.

That's how I wrote it in my letter

It is indeed a lower case 'q' for the quattro.

I think that is a great article, reads well, to the point and the 'green' bit fits in quite well in my view.

I think you're being too critical Andy - you've done incredibly well to get that kind of coverage in a National paper (all be it a scummy rag like the Mail, lol). Congrats!

I think the GREEN line is 100% on the mark.

The scrappage scheme offering £2k to people to ditch older cars and buy new is ridiculous pandering to the UK's motor industry (such that it is). The money would be better put into cheaper public transport.

My wife has a 15 year old 55mpg Golf TDi - most eco campaigners will agree it's greener to keep that running, than replace it with a brand new Prius (think of the pollution etc fromt the factory producing new Toyotas, and the end of life disposal of batteries etc) .

OK.. so I know my S2 only does 22mpg, and it's probably not the cleanest of cars ... but I only do 6,000 miles a year, so it would take forever to justify replacing it with a 35mpg newer petrol A4 on environmental grounds.

    Grrrrrr

This is good Andy... well done. The article reads well - admittedly steers off topic a tad due to the editors slant on things - but hey its a good sized article. Catchy headline, but I especially love the referece to the 'mysterious Audi S2' - is it driven by mysterons ? Brilliant job...

Simon is still reviewing the thing I sent him yesterday - I'll post that here for any final critique - as its the name of the S2 forum - then post to Audi UK & AG - and copy to the NLA forum.

Thats a real shame the NLA forum was sacrificed for "green drivel". That's what tabloid Journos/Editors do all time I fear. Still, at least the main message wasn't lost and this is just the beginning as you suggest.

It was mentioned in my original letter but they have edited it and then spliced in the section about envirnomecomentalists in the middle from anothe letter I sent, doesn't read right, it's a statement without reason and retracts from the NLA / AtA theme...

More letters to come and then who knows...
