But if it has CBR1000R Fireblade on the side, you might as well leave your handbrake on, not trying to be funny, just had a ride on one, friend of mine is a Honda dealer, and that 09 CBR is evil, not sure but I think 0-6 about 3 seconds, feels like 1 second... amazing

I agree, any bikes over 600 I have owned, on the road, you would not see which way they went in a sub 400bhp S2... even above that the bike plays the traffic card...

I still like trying it on with bikes in my old nail... the difference really is the traffic, in the S2 you go fast, slow because of the next queue, fast again, next queue... on a bike it is fast fast fast...

Clearly I am talking about track time, but most of the guys I ride with are more than happy over 100, not bottling it until side swiping at 170+....

Gotta love the stealth factor, the S2 always brings me a smile - you can never lose, either, f@ck me that old Audi is quick if you win, or, well, it's only an old Audi if you lose...

we don't drive these kinds of cars to sit in traffic eh?
I had a moment of pure joy going onto the start of the M74 and horsing past 2 chavs in a souped up xsara after they'd gunned it past me and cut me up not long before. Oh yes - I was pulling an empty trailer as I went past them at a speed I won't put in writing right here. Suffice to say I saw a glimpse of 2 jaws hanging open and then had to slow down a bit in case the trailer lifted off the ground. childish but made me actually laugh out loud.

Nice one Paul, its always fun to remind bikers that they arent the only quick things on the road!

                  All on a track obviously.
I had a hooligan moment with a local biker on a 750 suzuki (gxr?), apparently a 170 mph bike, which when we stopped he said "what the fock have you done to that 80 estate, I was doing 145 and you pulled away".
My reply "it left the factory like that, great ain't it" after emptying my pants.
Needless to say I've been invited to the next RWYB.
                  So sadly its' fun.
                  Cheers

ps the tracker is now fitted, plod said they could only catch it with the chopper and it has the tracker reciever.

I almost had a biker drive into the S4, he blasted away from the traffic lights and changed lane to find a big red Audi in the way. He then wobbled back into his lane and stared at me with that disapproving look only bikers can do

Bikes are fun to toy with. I don't run into them very often, but so far the score is RS2: 2, bikes: 0.
The first encounter made me realize how quick the car really is. In a normal car, a sportbike will pass you like a bullet.
The RS2 is massively quicker now that it sips ethanol, so the next biker encounter should be OK :mischeif:

Most bikes have crap aerodynamics - only the faired sport bikes make any sort of slippery shape, but they need to rider to be right down behind the fairing. Over a ton - they are like a brick on two wheels - and need silly power to weight ratio to accelerate hard from that.

I think your missing my point your average bike ride can not get the o-60 in 3 seconds because they A flip it over . B slip mister clutch to much. C just plain old poo the leathers. D are unable to hold on to the bike at them sorts of speeds.E have the rear wheel smoking going on the road to nowhere i know its possible but you have to be good on a bike in a fast car you have to well make sure you have fuel in it.

No bike encounter this weekend, but a brand new Porsche Cayman S with the aero package wanted to flex some muscle when I was out logging (4th gear power logs at 2+bar yielded some interesting results ). The white sports car got smoked with a capital S, but the guy was a good sport and wanted his *** handed to him thrice, so end result was blue family car: 3, white sports car :0
