Hello all

Here is my problem i have finally thought the S2 can be no more. ( unless i take the pi%%%% like Jamo and power co.)

In which case i canny bring myself to do it to my car i would much prefer a nicer car to start with.

I have owned the car for 5 ish years now and also sort of feel like a change. although it might just be a change to a coupe who knows. I mean im young enough. (just)

But what annoys me is the thought that Avants seem to be selling for about 3grand tops. So i am pretty sure i would be better Pulling the car apart and selling parts

So my question is would you all hate me for doing this. Or do you think i should just hold out for somebody looking for a slightly modded avant.Or just take the micheal and advertise it for more than i know i should get for it. Or on the other hand anyone looking for one.

Dont get me wrong i might end up keeping this for ever but i really am at a cross roads now and dont know which direction to take.
If this makes no sense please realise this is me wrighting this post I never make sense..

Unfortunately it is money that is always a major factor, so if you feel its worth more to you by breaking it then do so. Some people wont like it but thats tough!
I doubt they would make up the difference in selling v breaking for you lol so do what is best for YOU not anyone else!

Just make a list of those that moan, im sure they wouldnt want any good bits from the car if its broken!

like you say even if they moan there money will be good enough to me.
One thing i forgot to add has anyone ever actually gone and had a look at any of these bargain Avants are they well past the sell by date or are they pretty good.

I think part of the problem regarding avant value is people under selling them.
If more people were aware of how rare they are things might be different, plus the age old problem of hardly anyone knowing they even exist... but that makes it more fun when you leave them for dead!

I think the whole market is suffering at the moment i just sold my 03 plate transit for £1500 i paid £3500 for it a year ago! you would definatly make more money breaking it but is it worth the hassle?
Ive broken cars in the past (not s2s!) it doesnt please the neighbours and you need to be friendly with someone that has a grab lorry if you want to sell all the running gear!
My advise is keep it and wait for the government to sort there S**t out it is a classic car after all so it can only go back up in value.

rather than breaking it, why not put it back to standard(ish) and sell the mods, then sell the standard car and make your money that way?
I did that with my old S14, got £2k for the mods and £2.5k for the car, whereas the modded car was only worth £3k - worth a thought

This is probalbly the way forward.
only thing that annoys me is knowing id by all my bits back.

That's cheap reckon you could fetch high 5-6k easy, the other avants have been cheap and nasty

or buy a coupe, swap over the bits you want, then flog whats left of the slipper wagon
