Next month I'm planning to go to Norway with my girlfriend as I usually do each summer. Only this year I am thinking of driving there. Flying is too expensive and too boring these days.
Unfortunately I won't be taking the S2 quite yet. But seeing as this could be a good source of international driving information, I thought I'd share my thoughts with you in case you feel like adding any local knowledge or advice.
We are going to be driving our little TDI Lupo, so extra kilometres are prefered over ferries or tolls, within reason. I don't want it to take a week to get there.
We don't mind a good road trip when we get to see new places.
I've driven in Norway before, and I have been known to go to Germany from time to time, but Denmark and Sweden will be new to me. I like the idea of checking out the Oeresund Bridge too.
Here is my proposed route.
So if anyone lives along the way and wants to add any local knowledge that may be of benefit to us, or if anyone has driven part of the route and feels like adding something, please feel free to do so.
Or even if you live on route and fancy us calling in to say hello.
Or is that going turn the trip into a parts courier service?
For a start, what sort of price is fuel in the countries on the way? I know in Norway it seems to change daily.

Ha ha. I wish.
Norsk prices are less enjoyable. Or will lugging the extra weight cancel out the savings? Probably not. I managed 112.1mpg on a trip up North last week, two-up, with luggage, also with 19kg of brake disc, a set of 18" wheels with tyres, and a stack load of cardboard on board on the way back.
