Yup, thats why a few people tried keeping hold of the 5 speed with high hp.

Slightly off topic, do you have any good pictures of your dash and speedo cluster and how you've set yours out?

I have never liked the digital dash's and the green one couldn't keep up. So decided to make this binnacle, its much better.. me thinks..

Did your car originally come with the digi dash?

I was not sure but the bit that confused me is most wr's i've seen have had a boost gauge instead of the temp gauge next to the petrol, thats what made it a bit different, was yours a late wr? and do you have the oil/batt indicator lights next to the diff lock or the earlier style diff lock?

Yes it had the green digi dash originally. The current binnacle started life in a late GT.

Its a November 84 car, hence 8" Ronals, black rear lights and colour coded rear spoiler. It has the earlier style diff lock with green lights to tell you when they are locked.

I have also fitted VDO gauges in place of the radio, oil temp, oil pressure and volts.

Remember seeing the gauges in the radio section but never saw below that in the shots i've seen. Take it from a comment in your main thread your running a later diff, was that from a mb? (because of the seals not being available)

Yes its an MB diff, though i recently got a seal off of Pete for the earlier diff.

Which would you consider the better diff?

Ive not driven it with the later diff yet. I'm told the earlier ones are stronger. If you use the later one on a wr you also need to move the centre diff actuator as the later diff does not have a place to bolt it to.

Didn't ever measure my times on the 3B Coupe, but it was definitely sub 10s. 430bhp, 1400kg, 5-speed equals one rapid car :mischeif:

I've started thinking 3B track car, complete pie in the sky but then it's all good fun I think 2 S2s is just being a glutton for punishment, at least with the BM I can get parts for the old bus
