Here you go guys, thought you might enjoy these, a couple of vids and some pics from a day on Angeles Crest recently. Was out in LA for work and had a day off so me and a mate hired a couple of bikes and went riding. I tried out the new helmet cam which worked pretty well. I'm riding a K1200S BMW with a $3,000 insurance excess so taking it fairly easy
Also had a ride for an hour on the Busa my mate hired which was pretty cool, easier to ride than the K13. I'd never ridden a bike with ABS before so nearly pooped myself when it cut in as I was braking into a hairpin and let the brakes off, I thought I was going to go straight on
The Crest Highway itself is an amazing road which we did west to east stopping at Newcomb's Ranch and then going on to refuel at Wrightwood , on the second half I ended up following a couple of locals on a Blade and R6, these are the guys in front of me in the videos and we also did the loop round down Big Pines Highway through the edge of the desert which was hot hot hot (James and I got a bit lost..) and back via Mt Emma and the Angeles Forest Highway. Then James had a rest and I rode the Busa for a while. Finished off doing a road the locals call 9 Miles which was amazing. By the time I got back to LA I'd been riding for about 13hrs. The bike was about 200 bucks for the day (including delivery and collection and GPS) so needed to get my money's worth, Jack from www.werentmotorcycles.com dropped the bikes off at 7.00am and picked up at 9.30 that night so we really got a full day's riding.
