That 3.0d engine is a great engine and was a step ahead of VAG offerings when it came out, as the new 3.0d twin turbo and the 2.0d twin turbo is now. I'm not really a BMW man but there's no getting away from how good the BMW diesel engines are!!1994 Audi S2 Avant - in pieces
2006 Skoda Octavia vRS 2.0TFSi - goes fast
1985 Audi 90 quattro - is wet

An Oil Burner Is an Oil Burner.... Smelly - loud (wrong type of Loud) and crap for quick running on anything other than Mways or major A roads.... IMO...

Not that great on the pocket in the long run... unless you are doing lots & lots of mileage - Dearer to service & dearer to buy in the first place.....
& COMPLETELY SOULESS!!!!
I also think that Beemers age "so quickly".... but that could be said of most modern boxes I guess - Inc AUDI's...
<---- Complete Petrol Head - always have been & always will be...

All this high pressure stuff will be making it into petrol cars soon and watch dervs go down hill..
Something that does my head in with dervs is how does anyone know just how bad for the future are they i mean i have never seen a bus with a clean rear.Always black soot city.. think we will be going back to how it used to be in the black country. Soot and stuff everywhere i know poisions can be clear but im a fan of it looks bad it probably is.
But there is a plus point to this derv. The roads are getting that slippy soon Quattro will be the only way around the islands.
