I painted all the ABC pillar trims with SEM brand Black trim paint. The stuff is awesome.
I not only wired up the passenger airbag and installed all the structural brackets, I gutted out the old Procon10 seatbelts and cable system. I reinstalled the later production airbag detonated seatbelt restraint units. Everything works.Comment

Thanks! Your headliner looks great! What material is it? What padding did you use? I just bought 2 yards of black alcantara. Planning a winter installation but still doing some research. I need to get some black handle/reading lights. Painting them would be impossible.
Did you get your sunvisors in black or just painted?Comment

The sunvisors and all trim pieces are all OEM. I used black headliner material from Joanns fabric, it has padding built into it, it was fairly cheap and looks good. It was my first attempt doing a headliner and I learned a lot about what not to do. I'll re-do it again someday when i get the motivation.Comment

Acp,
Bigger Photos are excellent to show off all your hard work. Looking good.
Seeing that you've put some much effort into the car, you might be thinking of finding second hand Recaros from Mk 2 golf or Jetta, and recovering them with black leather ?
Alternatively, find a second hand set of urS6 sport front seats in black leather, or sport black leather seats from a B4 Cabrio in the breakers? Just make they fit yourself as regards height, they may sit slightly higher in a B4, especially with a sun roof ?
Seats from an S8 ? Not sure if they fit, but nice enough and fully electric ?
In the engine bay maybe use a black plastic pipe leading to the throttle body, in my mind it absorbs less heat than a metal one ?
Rear aero wiper ?
Kind regards.Last edited by macspring; 16 September 2011, 23:11.Comment

Joe,
Nice to see you got a correct width head unit in there now. Looks 100% better, even if there is no in-dash CD. I see you replaced the dash with one that wasn't cut for the old head unit.
I used a similar head unit in my conversion, and typically just use my ipod with FM modulator.

Subscribed! Well done. Do you have the remote key from the B4 working? Do you have pictures of where the battery cable is routed in the cabin & comes out of the frame rail near the starter/alternator? I am in the process of doing exactly what you have done. I have been collecting parts for years & completely parted out a '95 90S sedan for parts but neglected to get the ABS bracket before sending the shell to the crusher
Oh well, I will find another one to part out. Still need black carpet.
