Is this pipe going to split in to two for the cats or is there an option to have the single exhaust style? if so I would be interested

What sort of increase in performance could be expected if one of these is fitted to a chipped but otherwise stock ABY or 3b?
Is the standard downpipe a bottleneck on a standard car? and would this be worthwhile if the rest of the exhaust (including cats) was kept standard?

At what levels of hp/tq is a 3'' downpipe necessary? I'm on the line between understanding why/if I need a 3'' downpipe for 400healthy horses on motronic. Also considering the Supersprint system but it's only 2.7'' downpipe into 2.5'' cat back.

Does cats restrict or help with positive hot gases? I think I can get away with catless here in my State if everything is clean burning. How much louder is a catless than catted system? Sorry for all these questions but you guys are the expert and I need to know what my options are so I can make the decision to buy. Thanks James

For 400 BHP you definitely want a 3" down pipe, and its beneficial on all S2's at the very least.

If you can get away with no cat's then I'd not bother with them, they only serve to restrict the system, though some of the modern sports cats are pretty free flowing.

Removing the cats will make for a slightly louder exhaust note but nowhere near as much as removing a silencer/muffler.

I would be interested in ordering one of these 3" downpipe but like someone else and many others i have a miltek exhaust on the back. Silly question here but if I get a 3" downpipe and get a sports cat from pro speed and bearing in mind i already have a miltek would this work???? amd would it all connect up?? (one for the experts!!)

Guys i will post pictures up after the new year of the prototype, i will need a gunie pig for this to in the south!

I will also start a thread with a poll, I ask that only people that are serious post in it as i will have to get the best price i can for alot of materials.

Payment will be required in advance for this product, and the lead time will be less than two weeks for every 10 units. Of course i do not expect any commitments with out the sample pipe made.

I ask every one to read the past threads about larger bore down pipes and aftermarket exhaust systems and not post questions in here before i have a solid design and prototype.

                                Many thanks James

Also adding there is a great one from Marco about this topic
