    Pipe Manufacturer Wanted

I've been looking at a few designs for replica water pipes in stainless and a few other bits to overcome various prblems with the coolant system, trouble is that I've not found anyone who can do the job yet...

Anyone know of a pipe manufacturer who can bend SS in the tight radii that Audi have used? Any help gratefully received

For extra tight radii on bigger pipes, the spun half donut (half torus) is the solution, in other instances I think it's worth seeing if a larger radius can be accommodated in the space available.

Whats wrong with silicone hoses? Is there really a need to make them out of steel?

What hoses need to be made of steel ?

And what about engine movement as I would think that would destroy any inflexible hose pretty quickly ?

Sounds perfect to me, Im sure Roose would do them too.
The only reason I could think they need to be metal is if join directly to the block, or due to heat?

I would say they are best out of silicone or rubber, at least that expands and contracts therefore putting less stress on the seals.
Theres no need to join them directly to the block that would only make things overly complicated.

SFS are still making them on request so i heard the other day.

Andy maybe just contact them to see if they can sell you a batch to sell on here. That would save no end of troube trying to design a steel system.

They might be a bit far from you, but have a look at http://www.whitlandengineering.co.uk/index.html

They're local to me and turn out some excellent work with stainless steel.
