    Disaster!!

Took my beloved Y reg RS4 for an M.O.T today, the first time ive driven it this year! got a phone call about 2hours later sayin there was an accident involving my car!!

The M.O.T tester decided to give it a test drive did'nt he?
when i seen the car i wanted to kill the :corey:

The guy who recovered the car said he must have been going some rate of knots to smash it on a totally straight bit of road, turns out the guy was passing a tractor which turned as he was approaching it, so he put it in the field via a dry stone dyke and a few fences causing major underside damage ie gear box was ripped from the mountings, sump smashed not to mention the front end!
Iam seriously going to make sure that somebody suffers for this, i saved up for that car for 6 years and took me a year to find it, my god it only had 38k on it !!!
Due to the damage on the underside i personally think it is totalled!!
I knew i should have just waited for it!!

Oh dear oh dear... Make sure his insurance covers it for sure, if he plays silly ******s then threaten the law or legal action, he was quite obviously hooning it

This is why it's nice to disconnect the N75 when a garage does any work on the S2.

sorry to hear this. its fairly common still for the garages to take 4x4 cars for a brake test on the road. a brake test dont mean putting it through a wall.

That's appalling! And to think some people think I'm wierd for being as choosy as I am about who I take my car to. Don't take this the wrong way but from the damage you describe I hope the car is totalled - don't think I'd be happy with a repaired car after that sort of shunt!

Hope they sort this out for you PDQ and you can find another decent one!
Haynes Manual:As described in Chapter 7...

Translation:That'll teach you not to read through before you start, now you are looking at scarey photos of the inside of a gearbox.
