    Windscreen washers have stopped working

What a great time of year for this to happen

No noise from the front washer pump and everything else still working so I suspect the pump, what do you guys think. It looks like it shares a fuse with tha few other things..

Pretty sure the washer bottle is behind the passenger side wheel arch liner but in front of or behind the wheel, is it wheel off and liner out or can you do it with the wheel still on the car? too dark and cold to look now but might have a struggle with it in the morning .

You definitely need to remove the passenger side front wheel to get proper access to the arch liner and the washer pump. I would suspect the pump has failed too or possibly the connector just needs a clean up.

sure I read a thread not long ago about someone who had the same issue, but he changed the pump without removing the wheel or arch liner...

      Have a search...

Unless you have the hands the size of Action Man, I fail to see how that is possible.
How the hell can you remove the pump without removing the liner? It can't be done.

I have done a few of these...I rolled the car onto ramps so higher up , take off the front bumper ! and you will have full access to pump , have to move the inner wing trim slightly ... might seem extreme taking bumper off but to fiddly to try and contort your arm/hand for this job ...When replacing remember there is 2 kinds of pumps , our ones have 2 ends(bottom and top) that go into washer bottle ..is for autocheck ....cost about ÂŁ36 from dealers I think

                  Hi, yes that was me...

A bit of a fiddle, but just putting full-lock on gave enough access to
get it out (Running 17" with "45" tyres tho, not huge wheels)

Flat screwdriver to lift it off the bottle but fairly easy and carefully
applied heat (cig lighter!) to heat the washer pipe to help it slide on
the new pump. 20-30min in total.

And no - I do not have "child sized hand's"

I got the pump out thinking I was getting another from GSF (the Mrs drives past there on the way to work) but they didn't have one the same, pulled it apart and got the motor going again with a few drops of oil.. all back together and working great then on the way home tonight the fluid warning came on I know I filled it so where is the fluid level sensor

I would have thought it would be a float switch located at the base of the screen wash bottle similar to that used on the coolant expansion tank?
