Hi guys, i have bought a bumper that needs some repair work doing and i think i would like to do it myself. It has a few cracks that need welding up.
Has anyone done this before on a DIY scale, what equipment would i need and can anyone provide any tips please.
I have read about the hot gas method a bit, could a use a standard type heat gun for this with a reducer nozle to bring the size of the airflow down?
Also does anyone know what type of filler rod i need to be buying for a coupe V6/ S2 front bumper?
Many thanks
Jim

and yer you do it cold, and for large cracks you will open them out with a die grinder etc and use a roll of sticky netted tape for strength and work round and over it. Its like when they put steel grids in concrete
