I completely agree!Why not...
Some peeps spend thousands making thier S2 into an RS2 Spec car...
So why not finish it off properly with a decent badge...
Most of us who own coupes, can never understand why Audi & Porsche didn't do an RS2 Coupe anyway!!!
Now if they had what sort of Iconinc car would that be in the history books...
Was a '93 3B, Dont ask now tho......

Off topic but to answer the question:
Why would Porsche help build a direct competitor to the Carrera 4? Or in RS2 guise, maybe even a competitor to a 993 Turbo?Comment

I would NEVER put an RS2 badge on an S2, even if it was RS2 spec.
Its NOT an RS2, simple as that!
To me its like the people that put an M3 badge on a normal 3 series... or a Cosworth badge on their Sierra GLS

Or even better....... an S-Line badge on an 'A' Audi

I have to say M8, you do have some funny idea's about things....
Maybe it's down to you being an Avant owner... and I can see your point..
To make a S2 Avant into an RS2 you might as well go and buy the real thing...
But as a coupe owner myself... I see nothing wrong with putting on a RS2 Badge if you want too, even more so if you have spent thousands of £ making your car RS2 spec......
I agree with you about putting it on a 1.8 coupe.... but that's up to the owner of that car....
Pimp my ride sort of stuff.... Chav...
Each to thier own... If we were all the same life would be boring!!!!Comment

If you owned a Ferrari 348 would you put an F40 badge on it?
Of course not.
The bottom line is, if the car did not leave the factory as one, it is not one, even if the spec has been changed to be identical!
IE. if the V5 says its an S2, it is an S2, not an RS2.
Personally, I think if you then badge it an as RS2 its a bit crap

Once upon a time people on this very forum thought it was very wrong to put S2 and RS2 badges on cars that were not what the badge said!

Absolutely.. I'd a bit of a head on me this morning here at the coalface, so just ignore me.
However - you're the one that posted a link to a daft RS badge that would look more suitable on one of dem tasteless Ford thingys
For the record - RS2 badges on S2's are a definite no-no from me too, almost as bad as an S2 badge on an A2 with RS4 alloys (I have seen one)
