My NG engined coupe is on 204000 miles (about 330000KM's), still runs like a dream. Was on it's original clutch up to 180K miles, that being the only major job I've had to do aside from the obligatory cam belt changes. Just treated her to some new plug leads.
My S2 is on about 200000 miles, though it's engines been rebuilt twice and very little is standard.

Just had a thought about peoples Audis and how many miles/Km on the clock....cos my Dad use to have an old Audi 100 2.0E with nearly 300000 miles on the clock and still ran sweet as.

Oddly my old 100 2.0E with failing oil pump clicked past 300K about 2 months ago with its current owner. That car was badly abused before I paid £250 for it and 6 year on with the same faulty oil pump it had whenI got it, its still running.
The S2 is on 190k
The Suzuki is in trouble (80 166 20 166 cylinder pressures) at 109K
i ve had gts and coupe quattros with over 200 000 miles on that ran fine.
mate had a coupe quattro type 85 that had done about 320 000 miles (not 100% sure) he kept winding speedo back cos of his limited miles insurance!
most ive had was 272 000 miles on a js engine, no smoke etc, think only 2 clutches in that time, still sounded mint
My 2001 Mondeo is on 130k miles and is one step away from the scrap yard (F'in piece of poo)
My 1987 Golf has clocked over 200k miles and should be in the scrap yard but just refuses to go.
My S2 is on 85k and is suffering from not being driven.
From this I've concluded that German cars are built to be driven and Fords are ****!

My S2 has 146000 miles on it and my a4 is 140000 miles(53 plate) so its not that old my brother has a 1996 audi a4 with 270000 miles on it and still going strong with no plans to get rid. I think the general opinion is no matter what audi you have they are just run in at 200000 miles!!
1995 A6 tdi 250,000 miles (402336 km) just run in.......did 568 miles yesterday at 47 mpg
1983 VW golf GTI 187,000 miles (300947 km) original 8v
replaced with 16v 165,000 miles (265541 km) now done 91,000 miles (146450 km) since rebuild
Fathers old 1982 Audi 80 LS when i last saw it had done 290,000 miles (466709 km) but that was 5+ years ago. He sold it at 100,000 miles
Ive rebuilt more than quite a few VAG motors and even the ones that have been neglected are still far better internally than any of this modern stuff!! Everythings becoming disposable now.............
