It seems like I will be able to go visit a Gatebil event this year, I guess the one at Rudskogen 9-11 july is the one to go to?

id suggest some rather strong tent pegs. it was like a gravel area where camping was when i went.

we stayed at sarpsborg hi hostel. if you stay there join the hi hostel club. it will make even a short stay better value.



next time i plan to camp and bring lots of beer.

ikd take loads and sell it.

4 cans about 10 quid plus. 4 guiness was 14 quid from sarpsborg co-op.

we have to fly now as no ferry but you can take your by car i presume.

there were plenty drinking. small stubby cans of local natt urine. easy for brewerts when the law is/was so strict to get away with ****y ale.

take lots of food too.

I would recomend that event (having been to all of them) if you are only going on one event. I think theres been around 50k people to this main event 2 yers ago. Be prepard to spend some time in que(s).
Oh, bring own cheap beer and cash. Cash is always king.

Juste be aware that the police is very active on these big events, having checkpoints just by the entrance, so if youre driving a non street legal car (i.o.w. big HP/ suspicious) they might pull you off and before you know it, murphy sits on your shoulder laughing and you're in the *****.
Don't know if that is how they will operate this year also, but it's worth the thoughts if you're coming from far far away.

Once youre inside, approacing the track (500m ish through the woods), you often can hear some intense Audi noise (and other great noise for that matter) roaring through the woods almost like 7.1 surround sound system. And it only gets better the closer you get.
