Must have been a bad one, it had gone underneath the car as well, the upside is, there is no rust anywhere lol and yeah I need to move the bottom end ready to start on that but got to source the bits to convert it to aby spec (pulley's etc)

True but have to wait till i've got some spare cash atm all i'm doing is fitting the bits i've got atm as its free only thing i'd like to do is run the nitrous pipework underneath the carpet before it goes back in.

Just read this over again Pete, good progress

Rust looked kinda scary at points.

How much power are you aiming for with this one?

lol not sure yet, don't want to get into the chasing numbers game that some other forum members have done, I tried that with my last one. Atm just putting what stuff I have on the car till I have more time/money to progress this quicker.

Don't get into chasing numbers ! never a good thing.

As for where to run the lines I wouldn't run them right under the carpet, just tuck it down the side trim so you have easier access, you don't want it under the car where its going to get hot and more than likely going to be quite long to stay out of the way of other parts.

Your increasing the length of the pipework by doing that and ideally you want it as short as possible.

Ideally run it down the side trims of the car, up behind the dash and through the bulkhead as close as possible to the pulsoids.

I've done probably 50 installs now and that is how they should be done.

If the feed line is going behind trims you may as well just use the nylon hose as its less likely to get damaged in a trimmed car, I prefer to use braided on cars with no interiors as there is a chance that the hose could get knocked or damaged.

Must admit i'd prefer having it inside the car than underneath, something less to worry about getting damaged hence wanting to put it in before the carpet.

It was a choice between nitrous or a sub-box / amp combo so hopefully i'm making the right decision, last time I had a decent pair of subs and amp in a t/85 cq it would flex the roof and sport q rear spoiler

Also since changing the dash wiring from the original stock y reg wiring to the later wiring (first lot from a type 85 coupe gt, second lot from type 85 cq apparently) i'm still missing one plug from the wiring shown in this picture, i'm not sure if its seperate but can anyone shed some light on this, or is it part of the engine section for rev gauge etc (its part 14 on the picture)

And even after specifically asking if the full loom had the diff lock wiring it seems it still does not so have to find out whats happened and if i've got the correct loom which means I can't put the diff lock panel in till i've done this section which is a pita as I wanted to do some modding to the panel now i've got it.

Nitrous kit now sold after going out in a similar weight s2 saloon, decided it wasn't needed on the car.

Anyone know of good places to get some custom water hoses made up?

Samco do a nice flexible hose that can be very useful Pete on custom installs.

Roose can make bespoke pipes, not cheap though!
