I am planning a trip to Norway in late august with the car. Any vital information regarding places to visit, where to stay, etc would be appreciated!

where in norway,does the trip going ...to the north or the south... -
starting off from Kristiansand, and hopefully go up to allesund. Then back down to Oslo. i am not sure if i will be able to go further north, but if there is something really worth it, i will consider it!
Only thing im afraid is the low speed limits which makes a drive a lot longer!
Also for the fjords, are all the crossings having regular daily ferries taking you accross? (regardless of the turist cruises)Comment

i would suggest you to visit the north where Europe finish in the artic circle . i have a spanish friend who travel there since Spain to there in his Motorbike. it is a awesome trip and he did awesome pictures of this hyper beauty country.
i would love to go there soon too in not winter times of course
if you want i can ask my friend for a different places to visit there,may surelly know about the excatly names

where you gett nig the boat from- to Vas?
what id suggest is take plenty of money. its nt cheap.
visit the ski jump near oslo. the country is great visually too. if your off to rudskogen then its about 2 hours from oslo i think. maybe a little less.
im sure you will love it over there.Comment

The Norwegian VWAudi Club have a gathering/trackday at Rudskogen (Between Sarpsborg and Rakkestad, 1,5 hour drive from Oslo) Saturday 28. august 08-19 o'clock and Sunday 29. august 13-19 o'clock if you are in that part of the country at that time."Ring addicted"

Jonas, that is Great, but unfortunatelly i will only be in denmark enough time to go from one port to the other. I will be at Esbjerg on the 21st and will have to reach Hirtshals at 18:00(will be arriving in Esberg at 13:00)
So i wont be able to go anywhere else other than the original motorway and fast!!(just in case the ferry from the UK runs late or something).Comment
